Are you a doer or a dreamer?

Are you too busy with your head down working on emails to know what your goals are for this year?

Or maybe you are too busy dreaming and strategizing that you are missing deadlines today?

We usually fall into one of those two camps.

There are doers and there are dreamers.

However, to run a strong business, or life for that matter, we need to be able to do both.

We need to be able to look at our business and life with a zoom-in lens, as well as a zoom-out lens.

We need to be both a microscope and a telescope.

We need to be a microscope and focus on the task at hand. Meet the deadline. Respond to the customer. Have a difficult conversation with the employee.

However, we need to also be the telescope. Develop the 1 and 3-year strategy plan. Create the vision and values. Invest in relationships for the long term.

So what are you most often? A microscope or telescope.

Make sure you do what is required of both in order to help you grow your business and your life.
